British Customs quality control...

I havent done any of the fun exhaust/engine mods to my bike yet because its still under factory warranty...

I plan on getting quite a few things from BC and spending some good $$$ when the warranty does run up...I was...

I just got a set of the quick release screws for the plastic cowl that fits over the passenger seat...both were screwed up...one the threads missing half way up...the other was to big to fit in the holes...

Anyone else had any problem with BC quality control? Im kinda afraid to spend the money I had planned on spending on actual performance parts...

No issues with the "BIG 3" for me (Bella Course,British Customs, or New Thruxton) I have not dealt with TPUSA to this point.

Email Alex at BC, and tell him your problems with your order. They are pretty great guys over there.

I do think the quality of their products leaves a bit to be desired. I purchased the billet tail light/turn signal from them for many $$$. The bulb socket has corroded and causes a short. I'll work on it this weekend to see what I can do to correct the problem.

a turn signal bulb from the replacements I got along with my fender elimination kit burned out in 2 weeks. i think that was some stuff from china though? don't think that qc translates over to stuff like the preds...

edit: to add, the hardware on the fender elim kit I got from them was top notch.

To add to the mix - I bought a BC Lucas taillight and brushed alum blinkers well over a year ago and they are still peachy!
Like Redrider, I've never had a problem with the Big Three.
Maybe let BC fix the problem to your satisfaction? I think they'd be eager to do so.

I've got BC's airbox kit, chrome motor cases and cam cover, Preds, AI removal, and a bunch of small stuff. Never a problem, but screwups happen. Give them a call, Alex or Sean. You can't really gripe until you've given them a chance to fix the problem.

Thats true...and I plan to...I was just curious if anyone else had any problems before I dumped all that coin on the performance bits...

Im already afraid to take the leap to aftermarket anyway...as we say here at work..."Parts that almost fit...almost work."

Sean will look after ya, give em a jingle they'll see you right. I have BC ARK and Predators. Top notch stuff, and they have been great to deal with. We have good aftermarket vendors for our bikes, we are lucky. Britich Customs and TPUSA have been excellent to me.

I have their AB removal kit and am not impressed. The holes were not drilled properly and the powdercoating cracked off when I tried to force the screws into holes that weren't the right size.

Good point redhawk34, although I wasn't griping but just responding to the question about product quality. Thanks for helping me remove my head from my arse so that I can see the light ....I will call them and post back regarding customer service.
