Rain Goggles

I'm a serious claustrophobe, can't wear a full-face helmet. Goggles are fine, except in the rain. Bike goggles are vented, and in a very short time in the rain, I start to get water on the inside of the lenses. Can't see doodley-squat.
Now, I have a highly developed talent for grasping the bloody obvious after extensive research. In this case, Swim Goggles!
They're dirt cheap, even for prescription lenses. (I didn't bother, my Rx is so minor that they don't even offer them.)

I ended up with these;

I threw them in the bum-stop "trunk," and a couple days back, got caught in a real Frog-Strangler. Fantastic! Absolutely waterproof. I had hit them with Swim Outlet's antifog spray, inside and out. No fog, and they shed water like Rain X, which I am reluctant to use on plastic.

I wear an open face daily. Though I want to get a full face for rainy days. Its rather painful above 50mph, lol.

I use the rain x and the rain x anti fog on my full face visor and my Aviator goggles...no problems...it did take a lot more buffing...

Glad the swim goggles worked out for you...just dont take it to far...

I bought one of these helmets:

...and I LOVE IT! I feels very open, yet with the visor down it keeps everything out of your eyes. Very minimal fogging even on he moistest [sic?] of days. I have been motorcycling since I was a child and I have never had a helmet I like as much as this one. It actually has less wind noise than my full face Scorpion EXO-700.

I think it would solve your problem and... Well... You wouldn't be riding around looking like a kid at the YMCA pool. And if you are still hell bent on looking goofy, they make one in red with black polka dots:

Hell, lookin' goofy is one thing I'm really good at. Riding around looking like a 'roided ladybug might be a step UP!
Have you had that hat out in a real heavy rain? It looks like water would blow up from the bottom underway, or dribble down from the top at a stoplight.

I have had it in some pretty heavy rain. Enougt to get me wet to the point where it looked like I had taken a shower with my clothes on... And I did not have any problems with water on the inside of the visor that I can remember.

When you flip the visor down, it fits pretty close across your cheeks [The ones on your face ] and your nose. I wear contacts sometimes. I have had open face helmets before and simply worn wrap around sunglasses, and the wind whips around them causing my contacts to dry out. However with this helmet and the visor, I hardly experience any wind on my eyes at all.

It is an inexpensive helmet, but it is well constructed and looks to be a safe for an open face helmet, and it functions well.

I understand that the swim goggles are working for you, but I just can't imagine riding around in them. And not because they look goofy but because I have worn them swimming and I can't really see all the well in them.

Dude , the Davida goggles are the WORST F#CKING GOGGLES for the rain . EVER ! I have them . Rain seeps in right around the lenses between the lenses and frames and channels the rain right into your eyes . They suck . They look neat and cool for day rides and stuff but Man, they suck in the rain . .

Wore them one time in the rain , got blinded by rain , stopped , went to put them in my jacket pocket and they fell apart .
