Got My Thrux!

I am officially a proud Triumph owner! I sold my Harley Nightster and bought an 08 Thruxton (black w/gold stripe, carbs and clip ons) last week and am loving her! Bought her used from a local seller with only 2400 miles and with the following mods already on her: BC performance package, FEK, turn signal relocation kit (bullet brushed clear), Napoleon bar end mirrors, NGK spark plugs, and a few other minor mods. My next mods will be the Nology hot wires and fire coil.

Man, these Predators sound AWESOME! I can't get enough of that sound. I want it as a ringtone on my iPhone.

Looking forward to sharing and learning with you all!

congrats!

How do ya like it compared to the Nightster? I bet you love all that extra cornering clearance. A couple of friends of mine ride Nightsters. I've ridden both of them and I like the 1200cc Vtwin's grunt but that's about it. Love the motor, hate everything else bolted to it

Those won't gain you any performance unless there's something wrong with your stock parts. Save your $$$ for something else.

Really? I spoke to Shaun at BC who said that it would. He considers it a stage 2 upgrade after the performance package. Granted, he is in business to sell parts but his opinion and customer service seems pretty well respected amongst forum members. Well, I've already ordered the parts. Yes, suspension is also on my list, but I'll wait till next spring to do that.

cough cough bullsh!t cough cough.

'scuse me, I had something in my throat. Dude, he's a salesman, not your friend. They won't gain you anything except a lighter wallet.

Stage 2? what does that even mean? Spend that money on gas and take a nice long ride!

Ya I would have to see dyno proof from someone trust worthy that coil and wires would pick up noticable hp.
