Last Thursday night my bike sat through a rain storm while I had dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner I rode home in the somewhat still wet conditions. I took my bike out on Sat. morning to give it a good cleaning. I took it out Monday for the first ride since last Thursday and noticed that the tachometer window was a bit foggy. The fog slowly went away and hasn’t come back yet. Just wondering if anyone else has had any issues with their instruments fogging up? Obviously there’s a little leak in the seal. Whether or not it’s something to worry about is another story. I also imagine that it would be covered under warranty.

Seems to be a curse on most new bikes. It should be covered by warranty.

I had the one on my Guzzi replaced three times and I gave up in the end.

I've never had a bike that didn't do that. It's not leaking though. The air between the lens and gauge face has moisture in it. In the mornings, when it is still cool when you go out, the cool air drops the temperature of that air under the lens and the moisture condenses.
Once warmed, it vaporizes again.
Nothing to worry about, and certainly nothing that can be fixed unless your dealer can overturn the laws of physics.

I had a similar problem with my factory Tach during the cold months except for that mine was fine until I rode for a little while and then the condensation started on the lense.
Thinking that I might have some leakage around the bezel of the Tach, I removed it from the cup and put some real thin stick-on foam insulation tape on the back side of the barrel at the bezel.
I haven't had any problems since and the Tach fits better in the cup now since the foam tape took up some of the slack of the long mounting studs which Triumph uses (I think I had 2-washers on mine and the Tach was still loose).

I Had the same "problem." Like Paul said, its nothing to worry about. Water vapor condenses when it is cooled just like your 8th grade physics teacher told you.
