Just back from track day using the EBC-HH. They worked fine but I felt the initial bite I had when I put them in (less than 300 miles ago) has gone. Although they did not fail me and gave loads of confidence - I think I need to reinstall the OEM pads to really give a true comparision

 found the problem, after running the EBC HH pads for 200 mile bedding in period followed by 100 miles of track day I now have a glazed/polished front disk with much reduced braking efficency.

So anyone know how to unglaze a disk :???: I can only think of using some emery/sandpaper but what grade and should this be radially or across the disk face?

You may be a candidate for an EBC rotor. To try to clean your rotor try a rotory sander with about 200 grit. good luck -T1

Have you glazed the disk or the pads - I've never heard of anyone glazing a disk???

If you get the lining hot enough the binders rise to the suface and smear onto the rotor as well as glazing the surface of the lining.-T1

Ta for advice - grinder it will be.

Definite it is the disk (and maybe the pads not looked yet) the feel of the front disk between my fingers is very 'polished' compared with the rear or any of my other bike disks

I just used some emery paper on the disk (and pad although not really needed) and a lot of elbow greese and on a quick run this morning they are much improved again - will wait for second track day for final comment

Second track day:
No problems at all - though it was wet in the morning

thruxtonone, how you finding this? Just been through your modification album but can't found any detail on the installation was it a straight replacement? MotoTwin claim 18% more braking with this rotor - you agreed?

After all the talk, what we need is a twin disc set up.

I wonder who'll be first in the pirate trade to come up with a kit?????
