Since I often ride with my girlfriend I knew it was only a matter of time before I'd lose one of the plastic washers between the plastic and bolt for the rear seat cover. How many of you have done the same? Do you really think it serves any purpose? I guess this is the laziness in me, but I just don't feel like digging through the bins of washers @ Home Depot only to find they don't have what I need.

I think it helps prevent direct pressure from the from the bolt from cracking the seat cover. I'm sure you can get by without it for a while, but I think it's a helpful thing to eventually replace. I'm sure Home Depot will have a teflon washer that would do the trick.

Lost one too. Won't find a replacement at Home Depot.

But there are reasonable alternatives, teflon, rubber, plastic (although plastic substitute I used--which was thicker than original works fine). I got replacement because I was worried about pressure against cowl too.

It will scratch the seat cowl if you don't replace it.

I never got those, but fortunately I haven't used the cowl that much.

What's the ID/OD/thickness? Are they transparent or white? Seems almost silly to go to the dealer for such a small item.
