Good gains of 20% over stock - must be a better ride.
What thickness is the shim they are recommending?

For comparison my earlier posting, notice especially the difference in the torque curve. Only 115 main jet (sea level)!

Same HP - more torque - less mods!
I can only imagine t1 has a problem with valves not fully seating. Leakdown test would determine.
You know the factory has quoted different compression figures in their literature. I have a brochure that states 10.2:1, but most say 9.2:1??
Cornelis your figures better reflect the factory's quoted stock HP and torque. What exhausts did you have?

I have the TOR's fitted, AI and snorkel removed.
Yesterday my Thruxton was tested again, now with the restriction inside the airbox removed. Hp now up to 65 at rear wheel and a gain of 4 Nm in torque. However, this was not on the same Dyno as the earlier one, so in order to be able to make a real comparison, I'll have a run on the 'original' bench a.s.a.p. Bike definitely feels a lot stronger from 45oo - 5000 rpm upwards. Still only 115 mains and 1 shim on the needle.

I suspect we are testing on different style dynos. My numbers are consistent with others tested on Dynojet units. Triumph number (69hp) is at the engine. Rear wheel numbers are usually down about 15 hp. This is why you need baseline numbers if you wish quantify your performance gains. You can then do it as a percentage based on where your testing is done. T1

i've been curious about doing mine as well.

not too many places do dyno's but i called one local shop and they asked me 3 times "what" kind of motorcycle???

OK but you'll have to sign a waiver in case it blows up. it was kind of funny and kind of not funny.

i guess you can get different numbers on different days, etc. but just going for a single ($75) run and will post results thursday.
