T100 Carb?

Hi
I have a T100R, I am rebuilding the primary and renewing the gearbox bearings and alls going well. My question is about the carb.
My engine number is EE24232 T100R The carb is a single Amal 626 and very worn and I am going to replace it.
The prob is I am not sure its the proper carb for the engine. I can get a new carb but need to know the throttle slide number and the size of the main jet to get the right one sent.
Hope someone can help.
Cheers Alan

Alan,

A T100R is a dual carb bike. That means someone either put a single carb head on it. Or you don't have a T100R. What's the engine number?

626 is good for the T100...single or dual.

626 is good to go . get it from a supplier that will jet it to spec .

t100r is a daytona and dual carb originally as mcqueen says , but many duals were converted to a single .

think the daytona heads had different valve sizes , but believe you could put a single carb manifold on a daytona head . so doesn't mean the head has been changed . if someone in the know , knows different please correct me .

check page 21 here http://www.walridge.com/user_files/images/File/2008.pdf

Thanks for the reply.
I guessed it had been changed to a single carb and thats OK by me.
Thanks for the site with the carb specs that is just what Ive been looking for.
The bike is well altered so each bit I do is a research project, but it does look sweet.
Im pleased to see the air valve is often omitted as mine is I thought it had just been removed. Great site and a lot of help.
Cheers Alan

Alan,

Just a quick note on the carb settings...

Make sure your valve adjustments and timing are spot-on before you even begin messing with carb settings.

The Daytona (T100R) has hotter cams than it's counterparts like the T100C. Maybe start with the stock settings for a T1--C (if memory serves: .106 needle jet, needle in middle position, 170 main, #4 slide) and go from there.

Cheers for that it does run but carb leaks and I needed somewhere to start this is great.
Its also got a big capaciter fitted instead of a battery. dont think this helps the idle.
as soon as I get the primary and clutch back together I will know more.
cheers Alan
