'64 T120R Opinions
I was watching this on E-Bay but don't know enough about older Triumphs to know if this is a decent deal or if I should run away. It's about 2 hrs from me and I'm thinking about going to take a look at it since it didn't sell.

It's obviously not stock, but looks like it could be put back to stock pretty easily. Paint job, seat, and mufflers are the obvious things that aren't correct, but it looks like they've got a few of the correct items (seat, gauges, etc) to go with it. Look for matching engine and frame numbers. If it has matching numbers and it does start easily and run good as the ad says, then I would say $3500 (if that is the asking price) is pretty fair. In stock condition with correct paint, a 1964 Bonneville is not only a beautiful bike, but pretty darn valuable. Look for those matching numbers, that makes all the difference in the world in terms of value. Good luck.

Thanks, This the kind of info I was looking for. I have a book on Triumphs but it's not very detailed for year to year.

Austin Texas is 220 miles from me. I wish that '64 was, it would be in my garage tomorrow afternoon!

Definitely go check it out in person..looks like it could be a good deal, but I have a never buy a bike unseen rule.
A friend and fellow BIR member bought a TR6 on Ebay...supposed to be a daily rider and the thing has some issues, aint close to being a daily rider. But he couldnt see the thing from across the country, looked good in the pictures.
Good luck man

I looked into buying a bike a while back. The seller said the bike was all original. It was original alright! The only bike like it. What a wasted trip that was.
