Rita Ignition

I have RITA ignition system on a recently purchased Trident T150. Does this system work on a wasted spark principle? I ask because I cannot find info as to which coil feeds which plug.If its a wasted spark I guess anything goes?

Thanks Dave, but it doesn't answer the question.

It is a wasted spark. The way it is wired, all three coils will fire at the same time. There is only one power wire coming from the box that is conected to all three coils and they are all grounded together on the other side. There are three lobes on the rotor that send a signal for each individual cylinder but the coils will fire three times every revolution of the rotor so I guess you will have two wasted sparks.

Thanks Jimmy, you have no idea how hard it has been to get an answer.

J.B beat me to it, both the Boyer and the Rita employ the wasted spark principle which gives you a weaker spark as the coils are always trying to recharge.
There are better systems out there but if you are having no problems with your Rita ignition system then stick with it.

Tri-Spark has the hands-down best ignition for the Tridents.
