Amal Pilot Jets???

Can anyone tell me why every set of Amal 930's that i come across always have the pilot jets missing??

Do people take them out and run without them???

The manual seems to talk about the importance of the pilot jet!!

Whats the go!!

I just purchased a norton commando S....and guess what...no pilot jets!! My Triumph has no pilot jets!!

Will using the pilots make it easier to start

Cheers guys.

They are not missing - they are pressed in and are none adjustable.

There are some Amal concentrics that DO have the screw-in pilot jets above the float bowl but most do not. The rule is that they should have either the pressed-in or the screw-in but not both. (Because it won't idle right.)
