ok... im gonna hope to be riding my bonnie...last half of summer...my front tire has got to be 15 to 19 years old.....with no weather cracks or wear..looks great..hmmmmm would u trust it ??.....tom[*]

I had the same decision to make. Mine are English Dunlops from 1984. It took a while to make the choice. After thinking about putting them in the trash, I mounted them and will find out how they do when the bike is complete.

I would advise against it. One problem being they are probably hard with very little traction. Having had the LAST RITES twice I personally would not take the chance

Of course you could always look at Bridgestone BT45? I am using Pirelli MT66 and MT65 on the SAINT at the moment, but when they are gone I will use the Bridgestones. The make them in Imperial sizes as well as metric.
These are std fit on the new Bonnies and I like the way they ride. Roy.

My resurected '71 still has the original tires and I rode it a bit last summer. Although they look fine, the tires feel like they're made from bakelite or some other hard plastic. I'm not worried about safety in static situations or even when riding in a straight line. When is comes to moving the handlebars around while in motion...I'll be buying new tires this year!
