How loud is your sewing machine?

I'm not sure this has been done here before, but here goes.
I recently changed the head gasket and put everything back together. Set the valves to .004 on the inlet and the same on the exhaust. I would really appreciate it if you give this a listen and give me your opinion whether the 'clickety clack' is excessive and if there is a 'knock' in this motor.
Thank you so much in advance.
Retro.

Retro,
IMHO, and going only by what I heard on the vid, the tappet noise is a little excessive - maybe it's a bit "sharp" of what I would call normal. I'm thinking possibly a lack of lube.

Are you getting good oil flow to the rockers, valves and tappets?

Thanks,Ozbloke. I think the oil flow is o.k. since there is a leak in the rocker inspection caps ( both intake) that I need to fix. There is no excessive heat from the engine except at idling for a longer period.
I was a little concerned whether I got the push rod tubes back on right.I know they did not go back to their previous locations (need to label them next time ). I'm going to adjust the valve settings again. Rode 100 miles yesterday and the bike did great except for being a little noisy.
I listened to some of the other bikes on you tube and other videos I have and the noise level seems to vary greatly. I'm o.k.with it as long as nothing is getting damaged. I'll check into the oil flow though to be sure.
Any suggestions on checking oil flow to the tappets?

For a start, the inlet is set to .002".

Secondly, a lot of the noise can be attributed to mixing up the pushrods.

They may all look the same, but 30-40 years of being beat by the same tapper/rocker button has made each one unique. Mixing them up means they all have to start all over again (although when everything was brand new, the profiles were all at least similar).

These engines are never going to sound like they have hydraulic lifters, but they can be fairly quiet.

Thanks,Emanthehorse. Guess there's nothing I can do about the pushrod's now.I do intend to go back to the .002 setting once again when I replace the rocker inspection cap gaskets. There seems to be some difference of opinion (in various posts I looked up)regarding the settings for the valves. I'm hoping things will get a little quieter once I readjust the valve settings.
