being born in 1949 and Blackies speed record is what got me going on my 49/50 Thunderbird resto in 1999. sweet bikes, wonderful sound and handling. I love old rigids.

Great picture!
Thanks for sharing that. I'll be printing that one for the shop.
The riding position for Blackier as well as Rollie on his Vincent tends to make the rider really more of a passenger. It's like the bike is out their on its own and it allowed the rider to tag along.
Just another example of wooden ships and iron men.
