OIF In-Frame Filter

I bought one of these several years ago, but I have not fitted it yet because I half remember hearing somewhere that they can cause flow problems. Anyone got any thoughts on this, or anyone use them. Thanks.

Been using one for over 20k miles, change oil every 1500ish, and filter element every 3000ish, never had any problem.

oil filter

I asked about that type of filter on another britbike forum and many responded to advise they are linked to the end of the world! One fellow stated that I would be an "outcast" for suggesting it be used!

There were two people that responded with actual experience and they were generally complimentary of the type.

I still have not formed an opinion to prefer one type over another however will watch this post to see what is said. I can see pros and cons with all of the various types, including the factory mesh screen.

Ride safe.
