73 Bonne Battery question

Hi,
Newbie here, just bought my first bike ever, a 73 Bonne and I'm going to learn to ride on it, I'm tinkering to bring it back to glory. but the old battery leaked acid, killing some wire, fixed all that, but now I want to use a SEALED battery, can someone tell me what model would work and where in the US (Connecticut), I can get one quickly?

Thanks,

Jan

sorry but i can't tell you the exact model your bike takes , i'll use nothing but AGM (absorbed glass mat ) batteries in my bikes . they run @ $65-70 and i buy mine right off the shelf at my local Advance Auto Parts store .

if you still have the old battery it will have a model # on it .

I concur with Woody - AGM is the way to go. Wash the old battery down, and take it to the store to get the size, height and post orientation right. 9 Amp hours rating or above will be fine. Don't forget to bench charge it at 2 amps or less for 4 hours minimum before you install it in the bike.
