Question Feed back for primary belt drives.

Currently looking into getting a primary belt drive for a 69 bonny . Theres several on the market . what are the ups and downs of each one.
Due to The previous owner of a bike going original is not a option. i didnt know it until i tore it down after buying it they threw the chain and destroyed everything that works with the chain, tentioner ,oiler tube. if it wasnt for serial numbers i would change the case but keeping match numbers is something i want to do .The entire clutch has to be changed out due to normal wear .so the belt drives with everything are looking pretty good ..

Got a picture? It seems as if all that could be repaired for less than a belt drive setup.

I love the open belt drive on my shovel, open belts on Triumphs look odd because of the alternator in the front. Closed belt drives are never a good idea because of the heat generated.

If your bike is a real 69TT, you would be ahead of the game returning it to stock.
If you want to hack something up into a custom, I'm sure you could exchange the 69TT outright for a project in better shape. And I'm not anti-custom, I'm the full-time editor of the countries biggest chopper magazine!!
