Help Identifying this Triumph

I've been lurking around here for awhile and it seems this is the place to be for this type of question. I found this old Triumph that the guy simply has listed as a Scrambler 1 cylinder 250cc.

First, for $500 or less is this worth a squirt and second, is it actually what he says it is? I've been all over the internet and can't really find anything that looks close, except for a guys picture of a 66 T100C.

So any help on the below picture (sorry it's so grainy), is greatly appreciated.

Other Motorcycle: 1970 Triumph Bonneville

It appears to be the remains of a 1970 Triumph Trophy TR25W. This is a rebadged 250 BSA, and the only actual Triumph part is the name.

I always disliked teh BSA c15, and i suspect this it what that is ( albeit rebadged).
I liked the cub, (200 cc single which was displaced by the BSA product) It only had one fault, and that was if you mercilessly revved it when stone cold the big end would suffer fron oil starvation because the bearings were a close fit. That problem was cured after they stopped making the cubs when they invented multigrade oil. On 20/50 these engines run perfectly, and forever. Incidentally, the zenith carb they came with had the ( in my opinion) wrong needle. Changing it would get you well in excess of 120mpg without any problem or pefrormance loss whatsoever.
