Where to sell a T100S basket case?

My recently purchased T100R came with a lot of parts. An entire frame, what looks to be an entire engine to that same frame in a partial state of disassembly (matching numbers - a t100S -to the engine/frame), a gas tank, nasty rear wheel, side panel, and other assorted parts.

Can you guys give me a reasonable dollar number I should ask for this? Basically its a frame/engine and maybe a fuel tank.

Where to post it for sale? I looked here on the CLASSIFIED section and there doesn't seem to be a section for Vintage twins.

Thanks in Advance, this vintage bike stuff is all new to me.

re

craigslist or ebay. You ought to get about $1000 for it if it is not cracked or rotten. Better yet, restore it over time-don't rush. You have the essential foundation to do it...AND you get to ride the other bike you just bought as well.

personally i think that $1000 is wishful thinking , but that depends on a lot of things like the actual condition of the parts you've got .

reasonably complete ,85% of all the parts nuts and bolts , can go for $600-900 .

the engine is probably worth the most of what you've got , but that depends totally on the condition .

pics would help .

ps : serial # from your earlier post indicates that's a '63

If it's a 63 can you send me a picture of the tank. I might be interested in that

Thanks guys! Wow... a '63? Pretty old. I double-checked the numbers and on the engine and frame of the basket case unit it says ND29850 T100S.

I think I'll probably sell this one off as soon as I can unpack and sort all the parts...there are quite a lot of them in carryall plastic bins. I dont have time to restore a bike and the funds from this basket case unit will let me buy some good fixup parts for the '70 T100R, maybe even an original gas tank and fenders in the correct paint.

Heres a photo of the tank that came with the parts. Not sure if it goes with the bike or not. Someone along the way looked like they filled and smoothed the area where the 'Triumph' badge was located on the tank.

tank doesn't look like a 63. The tank that's suposed to go on my '63 T100SS should have mounts like the one below. unless someone ground them off.

Hey Doc,

Where are you you located? I may be interested in a basket case project for later this year.

I'm a little bored with my Hinckley at the moment...

In Northern Virginia, right outside Wash DC. Might be a little far to come for a '63 T100S in pieces!
