Okay, so I just bought a 1967 tiger..
I have little knowledge on the engine and frankly, am quite confused. Does anybody have a labelled diagram I could use for parts reference?
Also, it will not start. It is nearing the end of the winter season and has been outside, apparently, all winter and idling. The oil was thick, watery, dirty and the tank has been cleaned out, new oil. I replaced the spark plugs and what not, but it will still not start so I am assuming it is an electrical problem because there is absolutely no spark at all out of the plugs. I tried starting it with enough gas to run the reserve.
I was reading through some of the posts and saw that it doesn't run on a battery, but a "magneto", can anybody please explain this? Could that be the root of my problem and how would I fix that?
Any help is appreciated...

Triumph-a pround tradition of turning ordinary men into mechanics. Sitting on the bike, look down at the right side. This is the timing side of the engine. Small chrome (or finned aluminum) cover about 2 inches in diameter has two screws holding it on. Open it. If it is full of condensation and rust, don't be surprised. This is at least part of the problem. if all is clean and dry are there two sets of points? Are they opening and closing? If you find a small piece of circuit board material with two little tiny coils and two magnets on the rotor then you have an aftermarket Boyer ignition and all is wonderful. (But if it was a Boyer it would start). Let us know what you find.

Everything is pretty clean and rust-free but I do not see anything resembling a circuit board. There are two sets of points, but I do not think they are opening and closing.. They in a upside-down U shape, no? The rotor moves but that is it..
The problem is purely electrical I am sure of it but no next to nothing about how to fix anything within t hat context.
Also the oil is leaking from the bottom nozzle on the oil tank. How do I fix that?

I will attempt a try at this.
First, you need a manual.
Second, you need a helper for this. Have a buddy kick the motor thru and while he is doing this, see if the plastic followers open and close the points as the cam rotates. If not, that's one problem. Also, check that the point contacts are smooth and making good contact. How do you know that you are gettig no spark? Have you removed a plug and tested it against the frame while kicking thru with ignition on?
Did this bike run fine before winter?
How do you know it's getting fuel?
Answers to these questions will help get better advice.

Yes, I have tested the spark plugs against the frame. Nothing. I believe it to be some faulty wire somewhere as the last owner just jumbled and taped everything together. Also, there is a cut yellow wire next to the CDI coils. What is that little cylinder on the right side of the bike also next to the CDI which has yellow/blue wires connected to it.
When you prime the carb, gas leaks out of the top. I've disconnected the fuel line and it is flowing fine. I did not drive the bike before this winter, as I have just recently purchased it, and was TOLD it ran fine. Who knows about that, though.
It wasn't very well maintained, I know that after inspection and was not properly winterized.
A manual is most likely my best bet, eh? Especially with this electrical mess.
