Question '72 switch gear on a '71 Daytona...?

The '71 T100R that I picked up a couple weeks ago has buggered up switch gear, not a bit ta-do but the plastic levers are broken. I have never been a big fan of trying to change just the paddles... all those little springs and all that...

Is the wiring for a '72 Exactly the same as the '71 so that I can do a plug & play swap...?

Thanks,
Rob

switch gear

Rob, the 71 & 72 should be identical, but the way the brits sometimes changed things you can never be 100 percent sure. I also mailed you a copy of the science museum letter for my bike. I also have a parts manual that I believe incudes the 71's if it would help.

Thanks Rolf,
I'll check the colors of the wires and all that when I get the switches and hopefully they are the same. I'm actually buying them just for the paddles.

I do have the parts book but thanks.

What is this science museum letter all about...?

I need to go find the fellow in Warren that bought my '70 Daytona back in, wow, 1992.??? Curious as to what ever happened to it. He bought both the '70 and the '69 T120R from me...

Cheers,
rd

They can supply you with build date, ship date and consignee for your triumph. Was Charlie Vincent the guy who bought your bikes?

She doesn't have to be a show winner to go. They're all fun to look at and or ride.
