T-140 crank shaft?

I am attempting to put together a T-140 engine from an assortment of old parts I have. I've got one of "Kim the cd man's" Triumph editions on order but it is not here yet and can't figure out which crank shaft would go with the T-140 cases (T140V CH2792) I have. I have four or five diffrent crankshaft versions to choose from and want to get the right one (if I have the one that is supposed to go with the 140). One prime suspect is a bolt together, another looks like one of the lighter cranks (square edges) but is heavier. Also, are the rods diffrent from a T120 to a T140?

Hi Jimmy, check the crank for a METRIC 30MM journal on the TIMING SIDE. Also the T140 has a triplex chain and the drive side alternator spigot is 5/8" longer than the duplex.
The T140 rods are SHORTER and thicker. On the timing side bearing use an NUP306ECP ROLLER, NOT the ball bearing. The drive side should be MRJA 1 1/8" C2 clearance, C2 MOST IMPORTANT.
Roy.

Thanks DAGAD. I'll measure the points listed this afternoon. Would the rods be like the ones ran in the tripples? Do you know what the bolted together crankshaft might be? It looks a lot like the other Triumph cranks except for that and it has no sludge tube.

Woo hoo, I believe I found the right crank shaft, stator, rotor, oil pump, triplex drive sprocket and clutch basket. The spark advance mounting surface is a bit deformed from someone using too much muscle pushing too hard of a hammer but I think it can be saved. Now I need to find the rest of the transmission and a frame that is missing an engine.
