Hi everybody!

I am having trouble shfting into 5th gear. All the other gears are shifting smoothly, clutch is adjusted and no clutch drag. With some force I can pull it into fifth by hand. After it's been in fifth, downshifting from 4th to 3rd gets harder...like something is blocking the lever. No noisy sounds or anything like that. Any ideas?

Tear it apart and see what's getting chewed up.

Look at the pins on the shifiting forks, look at the grooves in the camplate that those pins ride in.

Look at the bushings on the shafts.

Look at the teeth on the selector, and the notches on the gear they engage to turn the camplate.

Hope it's not too bad...
