Need Help

Ok, so I took my tank badges off to paint. And this is what I found underneath. As you can imagine I am not a happy camper, I'm not sure how the badge left a crease in the paint but it did. Now does anyone have a suggeston on how to fix it?
This really sux, the paint was a month old before the badge was put on, is that not enough time for it to cure?

Is the mark something that can be buffed out? Is the tank clear coated? You might want to try polishing compound to see if you can't smooth it down. Just be careful not to go thru the clear coat.

If its an indentation, when you put the tank badge on, can you still see the defect? If not why do anything?

No one is going to see the tank with the badge off. It might bother you knowing its there but over time I bet you'll forget.

Good advice from quagmire. Usually this happens when 'pattern' bagdes are used which don't have the correct contour or have not been fettled correctly and have high spots.....
just where you don't want them! When the badges are fitted it will look OK, I'm sure.
