72 OIF tr6r side cover options

As I was looking at the boxes of parts for my basket case build today I found out I have one air box cover. It's a plastic repro and pretty much useless without the airbox i wasn't going to use anyway. I'm looking for options/ideas on side covers because the bike will look funky without them. Filter will be a pancake style. What have other members here done? can I get some covers that look like an oil tank or something?

Hi pbkid694, As was pointed out retro side covers are readily available. They look really nice on OIF type bikes.

Regarding pancake air filter, they look really nice also. The normal early TR6 filter will hit frame. They make an offset filter to fit your frame with single carb, so make sure you get one for OIF bike.

Also retro "Burgess" style mufflers are avail. They are made to fit your frame & exhaust.

A few of the local guys have fitted retro stuff on these bikes & it looks really good. If you didn't know better you'd think it was all factory.
