Alternators

cleaned off a ton of the dust today and inventoried my box of parts . pretty much everythings there . in researching my ceriani forks ordered a new set of seals .

anyway was going to stick with the ET system for now , til i found that 3 of my 4 coils are leaking . i have 2 good stators and a new one i just won on ebay , but thinking with the coils gone i might just cut my losses (i can always ebay what i have ) and totally replace the whole system .

been searching here and finding a lil info , but would appreciate any opinions .

seen some like the sparx system , but also read of several problems fitting them , especially the rotor . also can't seem to find an online supplier . sparx www list their distributors , but none seem to list them on their www's . anyone know of a supplier ?

MAP lists a hi-output 3 phase 220 rotor , stator and rectifier kit for only $250 . sounds like a good deal .

opinions ?

Cheers , Woody

also i'm assuming these will fit my '67 t100c 500 . am i correct ?

Get the three phase system and you can run just like the ET....batteryless. Say aloha to the ET stuff. Good vibes from Pazon ignitions and Trispark electronic ignitions. You will need to fit a 4500-6000 mfd capacitor in place of a battery to filter the DC spikes to guarantee good regular ignition timing.

thanx Mecchanica , reply from someone (John Healy) said i can't run batteryless with the sparx 3 phase , no reply as yet on other 3 phase . so i can run a 3 phase with a cap ?

found an ebay link for yamaha coils that will work with the ET and ordered a couple ($55 for 2 delivered) so at least i can get the bike running and then go from there .

getting psyched . never thought i'd ever ride it again .

Thanx bud and welcome back , Woody
