Need help with some numbers!

Hello to all! Ya'll seem like some smart fellers so I reckon ya'll can help.

I just procured a chassis (no engine, only frame and forks and wheels and brakes...) with a serial number C150721 on the neck. Other numbers I've found include: F7314, F7315, F7316.

Frame is welded (eek!), I doubt I have to tell you guys what numbers I found where.

Also, on the forks I found HON 360.

This is my first bike and hopefully will be my first build, but I kinda need to know what I have here. Obviously I've googled my heart out to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. I've built many a mopar in my day and I would love to add this neat little Triumph to my repertoire.

Thanks,
Joe

I got nothing..

Just looking up that number "C150721" doesn't show me anything. Now I'm not a wiz at this I'm just using "Triumph in America" book which shows that there should be another letter after that "C". The "C" range would typically be a 500cc model but I can't find anything that is a single C#####.

I'm under the impression it should be C(another letter)######. I'm no historian so someone might come a long and give you the exact information your looking for.

Good luck.

It's definitely a "1" after the "C." I had thought the same thing after seeing other serial numbers with two letters, but it reads "C150721" clear as day.

Hi Joe, I'm with the other guys here........... wrong / bad number? Can you post some pictures so we can see what you have? Another thing that concerns me is, you say the frame is welded but then give casting parts numbers (F7315 etc). If it was welded there would be no castings, do you mean it's BRAZED?
Is the rear section removable? Does it have seperate engine and or gearbox mounting plates or are they attached to the frame? Loads of questions but we need answers to give you an answer!
Roy.

With forks stamped HON 360, I'm thinking this might not even be a Triumph frame. What is it SUPPOSED to be?

Ok here goes...

This last pic is where the "F7315" is located, I couldn't get a decent shot of it, sorry. I hope this yields some answers, I'm not feeling too good about it. Thanks for all the help. I was limited to four pics in this post so if more is needed let me know.

That chassis is only any good if you intend to build a chopper.

It's been welded and bodged beyond where I would consider it cost effective to try to refurbish or restore.
