G'day t100rc and NHOJ.....could you advise me as to what the engine compression would be on a 73 Daytona say for good, average and poor in psi..?

If your looking for replacement parts for your T100 try waldridge motors. they're up here in Canada about 2 hours from Detroit. It's a mail order place so you'll need to get them to send you a catalog, but besides that they're good and fast. They have everything and anything for Brit bikes.

You can also shop online from Walridge at walridge.com and download the catalog. However, it is a truncated list of parts and not their full selection. The Canadian exchange rate isn't good for us in the States, though.

As far as compression is concerned, I have no idea what you should expect, etc. I remember that when I first picked up my bike, I put a compression tester on both cylinders to verify that they were at least close. I'm sure my compression is actually a little weak compared to 'tight' motor. Probably not even worth me checking for you. Someone on here will be able to tell you what you should look for.

I have an original meriden workshop manual for the 350 and 500cc bikes and lists the daytona at a 9:1 compression ratio, not sure if this helps.

I've been told I should be seeing 150psi on my T100R.
I'm at 135psi on both cylinders.
