Wheel Spindle lengths
The front wheel on my 61 Thunderbird has always looked a bit out of kilter. Looking closely, the splindle is about 157mmm long (at the scallops where the bolts slot in), but the forks appear to want to want to be 152mm apart at this point.
Looking at my 59 T110 (which has the same spindle part number - W1239), its spindle is about 152mm long.
I am guessing that the spindle I have is off another, later model.
Can anyone confirm ?
Even with the wheel out, the forks still seem to lean to one side...
