1971 Triumph T100R

I am looking at buying 1971 Triumph T100R, I am new to motorcycles. I have read that in '71 there was oil in frame bikes introduced. I want to know if the T100R is one those or it was just the Bonnevilles. Also are parts readily available for these bikes in the US.

I had a '71 or '72 T100R back then (black & red tank, similar to my tbird..) def. no oil in frame, IIRC they never did this with the 500s

Parts shouldn't be a big problem at all. The 500cc was pretty much the same from 1970 through the end of the line in 1974.....................................Had a '72 from new, way back when; nice bike: Jim

The 73-74 TR5T was an Oil-In-Frame 500. Basically the 500 twin engine jammed into the B50/B25 Triumph Trailblazer/Blazer frame. It was a kick@ss combo... after the owner stripped off all the dumb Umberslade Hall 'designer' stuff, such as the monster muffler.
