I am not sure either. As I play with the brake, I dont see how it makes contact with that bolt, so I am thinking that it possibly is not the right footrest
The previous replies are correct. Your foot peg is a 65-70 model peg. The nut on the bolt is to lock the bolt in place once the length is determined. There is a small lever tab hanging down off the back of the 65-70 brake pedal that when the pedal comes up stops against the bolt head. Your, correct for 63, pedal does not have the lever tab.
