Eldo, remove the plug in the engine (filter / drain) and check to see that the oil pickup pipe is in place. The end should be 5/8" up from the seal face. Was the replacement oil pump new? Did you fit a new gasket with it?
Roy.

Seem to have oil feed to rockers yet nothing to oil tank.I checked oil lines for obstruction today_ nothing! When I started it it blew the oil line from scavenge side to T piece off.I figure I must be getting pressure.Yeah mate Im stumped.Lucky I have the 06 T100 to keep me almost sane.Any further input would be appreciated. Sounds like the pipe in the tank is blocked if it blew the oil hose off and you have oil to the rockers? Check to see if you can blow air up the return steel pipe and that it exits inside the tank at the side vent hole. I would take the oil tank off anyway, assuming as a custom and not using the OIF Frame and give it a good clean just to make sure. Don't run it again until you have proved the tank.
The '06 T100 is a VERY good back up!!!
Roy.

Some aftermarket oil pump gaskets obscure part of the ports. Also, I have seen a preunit gasket fitted and that really obscures one of the ports.

Disconnect the oil return line from the tank.....extend and reroute it to the access hole in the top of the primary case and stuff the opening with rags to retain the hose....a little duct tape might also be needed. Or you can just direct it into a measuring cup or old beer can. Run it and see if the oil exits the hose in a good stream. If so, then the problem is in the tank. If not, then the problem is in the engine. Don't run it for more than a minute or so, and keep an eye on the level in the tank. Don't run it dry.

Unhappy

Hi all, cheers for input.Took advice and verified a blockage in the oil pipe which runs up inside the custom oil tank.My son said **** it and drilled a half inch hole in top of tank.Lo and behold there was a sharpened piece of wood ( that looks like its off a pluto pup or toffee apple) about half an inch long lodged in the oil pipe! Yahoo! Am happy to find it at last but wonder what sort of half wit would be so incompetent.
Anyway, now I can move on and should be givin it a blast next weekend. Thanks again for your help.
