1968 T-120R jets

Just got a new set of amal 930's for my 1968 T-120R I'm trying to get going. The main jets that came in them are 200's. My 1968 parts manual calls for 220 mains and 107 needle jets but my shop manual calls for 210 mains and 106 needles for the T-102R. The old carbs had 220's and 106's but the bike had NGK B-7 plugs which seem a bit on the hot side if I remember NGk ratings correctly. (My shop manual and parts book again are in disagreement as the manual calls for Champion N4, parts book Champin N3). The old carbs were a mismatched set and one needle was in the middle notch, the other in the bottom. Shop manual calls for middle. I've never heard the bike run so have no idea how close the set up was. Can one of you Triumph gurus help this novice out?

Disregard the manual. Amal changed the design of the Concentric in mid 69 and so those figures are not useful.
Depending on your exhaust......
Stock exhausts, I would start with 200 mains and 106 needle jet (with the cross drilling hole) with the 2 identifier groove needle in the middle position. # 3.5 cutaways on the CHROME slides. Chrome slides are the only way to go. If you have open exhausts, go to 220 mains.
What air filter elements are you using? Paper or gauze? That can make a difference, too.

It has stock exhaust but Emgo replacements will be installed. It has what looks to be a set of gause air filters that resemble the stock round, flat filters.
What would be the correct spark plugs?
I think the slides are 3 cut aways.

Right, Bonneville, Bonneville......number three cutaway is a good start, since there is less draft at low to mid speed with the airflow divided. I keep thinking in terms of my Hybrid Triumph with the 750 kit and single carb.
I am not sure how the Emgo items flow, so it's a crapshoot there. When in doubt, richen it out, and work back toward lean.
Plug would be B7ES or N5C. The C or copper core Champs run cooler, so you can and should run a "hotter" range plug to keep the tip temp. in the self-cleaning range. The NGKs always had the copper core, so no change needed there. Guess who copied whom?

Stock filters WERE gauze. Cheapo replacements are paper.
