I was a somewhat active member on here in the past but I sold my Thruxton in 2012 and stopped checking in. This is my first post in a few years.

I will be coming into a 1978 T140E US model this weekend that has damaged side panels that need replaced.

I like the look of the t140 V panels (https://www.triumph-spares.co.uk/resize.php?img=products/DSCF1033-1.JPG&size=200) and the badge that goes with it more than the T140E version (https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/0717/products/DSCN9552_large.JPG?v=1456425199).

Are they interchangeable without serious modification? I need to order a set and would rather get the set that take the badge that has single row of text that says Bonneville 750.

The plastic 1978 T140V and T140E side panels are not the same. They are shaped differently at the carb end due to the different head/carb setup. Can they be used I am sure the answer is yes. Your other alternative is to use the 1979 side panels. The panel shape is correct but the badges a different.

You night also want to look at the 1978 TR7 panels if you can find a set
