i was going to suggest an adjustable pin spanner but DaveM beat me to it - i made my own similar to the "proper" tool but it took some lathe work and brazing
Well I used the old "drift and hammer" routine on mine since it had been done before I got her years ago and when I originally rebuilt her back then too.
I have both wheels apart now (minus the front tire) so ill just take the bearing carrier in when i get a spanner (if i can find one).
The tires were a pain in the rear i couldn't get the bead to break so i had to cut the rear tire in half and get to where i can cut the metal bands in the bead area. I tried putting the front tire in my press to attempt to break the bead with no such luck so ill just take it to a local shop and have them do it.
