help with bent frame

I just got rearended last night on my 78 Tiger. The bike slid and bounced quite aways. The rear tire is shoved forward, the forks look a little ascue. My question, is there anyone that actually straightens these frames or am I better off looking for another one?

I don't know anyone in your area. But, I've had Dr. John straighten a couple of crashed frames for me. This guy is awesome, he makes them straighter than stock. He does a lot of racing bikes, not because they've been crashed, just to make them better than stock. He's got books of data on every frame ever made. There is a handful of frame shops out there, some use lasers, some use a ruler. You could check with your local hooligan racer guys or your local vintage Triumph shop for a referral.
As for the forks, take them completely apart if you have the means and roll the tubes and dampeners on a surface plate. Replace anything that looks suspect. When in doubt, chuck it out.
Good luck.

I'd worry about the swingarm mount point welded on the rear of the frame downtube. If this takes a good whack, or even if it's just gone high miles, it can crack here and cause an oil leak.

The OIF frames are pretty stout, so I would worry more about the swingarm.

If you need a 78 frame and swingarm, I have one. No title. Shipping from Hawaii will kill you, though.
