vintage triumph ID?

I just walked past this beauty on the way home. .. I don't know my pre-unit Trumpets very well. . . been trying to ID it using http://www.motorbike-search-engine.c...h_classic.html
and
http://www.vintagebike.co.uk/Bike%20...ph%20Index.htm

but having trouble. The connecting pipe between the headers I've only seen so far on Bonnies on the above sites, but the crank case shape looks different than most I've come across. And I haen't seen that reflector under the tank on anything so far. . .

anyone want to clue in the youngin'?:

thanks!

Could be a '69 Daytona 500.

The grab bar at the rear is '70 spec.

The bike could be a "bitsa" (bits a this, and bits a that...)

I'm betting it's a 70 Daytona, except for the bobbed front fender. You can just make out the crankcase vent spigot under the carb. 69 wouldn't have the spigot.
71 would have the tappet access plugs on the side of the rockerboxes and rubber mounted headlight ears, plus turnsignals. 72-74 would have the ears and signals, but went back to the smooth rocker boxes.
By process of elimination, it's a 70.

I spent all afternoon carefully examining the picture and consulting parts books at hand. I also made note that the picture was taken in Seattle. Based on this research I am sure the bar is part of the hotwater feed lines from a Starbucks Coffee machine.
I am even more positive after computing the distance apart the clamps are
and noted the design on the rubber heat insulators at each end of the pipe.

Of course there is a remote (and I must state very remote)possibility I could be wrong.

I bet you think its just a chunk of 7/8" pipe painted black with 2 U clamps
and maybe a set of Oury type handlebar grips.

Biggie Fish
welcome back u been quiet lately
you neglected to mention first year for the side stand (part 83-1560) on this bike was '70

Talking

I'm really surprised at you folks. As you can see from the original post, this is a pre-unit Trumpet. That would make it a Conn!

OK I'm jus a dum good 'ol boy from 'Ol Cantuck. maybe hugh can enlighten me
as to what conn is. the scoot is in Seattle Washington not Conneticut.

As fur as the first post saying pre unit I am a thinkin maysbe the youngin jus dont be a knowing his pre hinckey triumph real good. aint no shame in not knowing sumptin. Ifin a youngin knew everything on the day it was born
a bunch of places would go outta business fur exzample baby diapers. bet they would go the same way as the buggy whip makers. sure they will still be needed fur some of the ol folk (diapers not whips).
I think if the youngin hangs out in this forum(which is usually well grounded and Positive) he may get some good learnin.

Just a joke! Conn is a manufacturer of musical instruments, made from brass, with slides and a mouthpiece. In other words, a trumpet!! Sorry to be so obscure.
