Those little pix are too small, and there is no contrast on the primer to show the actual shape of the tank.
And those are likely 2 petcock spigots and 2 mounting lugs.

Well, it sure does LOOK like four spigot taps!
It also looks like an aftermarket tank, maybe a John Tickle or Wassell...

There's something about it that makes me think "old BSA", but I can't say why.
Just an old picture in the back of my feeble gray matter: Jim

heres an even stranger twist on this mystery tank,,
once i found out this tank was made in engand,, i have a second tank that looks just like it. upon closer examination of that tank, inside the tunnel is stamped " made in japan tokyo diasho" . i dont recall the japanese making aftermarket "chopper" parts back in the day. both tanks have a very nice shape for a bobber but im scared im gonna ruin something that could have a value.

Hey K, didn't the chick in Total Recall have three of them???? That's the only lady from Mars I've ever seen.

It's a "long peanut" tank, we called them banana tanks. The four spigots are for mounting on different frames, the forward one left side for HDs, the rear ones for Brit bikes and Japanese twins.
Circa 1970 and well made. Uses the stock Triumph gas cap, if I recall. Later ones used a "universal cap".
