Purchased a supposed 69 trident in a squillion bits and am in the process of putting it back together but found I have a 74 motor in a 72 frame with drums on taper hubs, Putting rear wheel back on frame I have two flanged spacers which don't show in manuals and the flanges are two different thicknesses one is app 3/16"" the other app 1/8" any ideas which side goes where would be appreciated
Thanks Adam,
I think these where a weird add on and will find out when I mount wheel and motor and see what lines up, was trying to do the job once but finding the more I do the more I am putting things on and taking them off to adjust
Could you make a picture of your wheel with this distance pieces and show it here ?
It would be easier to compare your wheel to mine.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but I don't think it's any difference in width between rear 69 and later conical wheels.
Thanks for the exploded view I am reading out of a 72' parts book
which does not show the spacers, I thought they just put them in to confuse old blokes
This is the picture of my wheel.
I didn't consider parts 35 and 43 spacers, they just hold the axle in your swingarm.
Big spacer I was talking about was # 44.
