crotch rocket?
Just a thought. Befor there were 'crotch rockets' there were only 'cafe racers' I believe. So I think it would be safe to proclaim a Bonnie or Rocket etc. as the first crotch rockets? Someone I work with just gave me a funny grin, like I was nuts, when I told him I rode my 'sport bike' into work.

Dem youngins jus aint got no respect. Ask him what 'ROCKER ' gave up his seat on the plane Buddy Holly, Richie Valence, and the Big Bopper died in.
Early Bonnies were fast (for their day) as were Hudson Hornets.
Them that dont know or forget history are the losers.

Hey Kadutz,
I know!!
His music career went in a different direction, and he made it big; and the Hudson Hornet still holds some speed records that haven't been topped yet: Jim

Sorry, Kadutz,
Haven't seen "Cars" yet, and you've got me good on the last question. Maybe if you'll tell me what the "Old R&R" is....?

Hey Kadutz,
I realized that sometime later in the evening; my brain still works, only it's a bit slower now. His music wasn't that far off from the "old R&R" and, interestingly enough, I've been saying that about all of that type of music for years now. Ufortunately, that music seems to be going in a slightly different direction these days, but there's still a lot of good stuff coming out in it; and if it really changes....there's always cd's!!
Gee, I think I'd really like a Hudson Hornet: Jim

Was it a option in your Hudson Hornet?? Of course, I could sit in the back seat and sing...but then you'd need earplugs just to drive it.
Hey, I've got one of the old converters to play cassette tapes in an 8 track player...showing my age again: Jim

4 track
Kad, you are the first person that I have talked with that actually recalls the 4 track. The 'superior' 8 track ate em up. If I remember right, the 4 track tape was actually bigger than the eight? I heard cd's will be replaced soon. What a bunch of crap! I only have one cd(Dylan) and a few Christmas ones. I have a lot of cassetts. Oh well, back to the sport bike. For some strange reason, it quit running on me because fuel would not come out of the fuel taps. After cleaning the filter and carb I turned the petcock on and nothing came out! I turned it off and on again an gas just flowed out of it. I guess I'll have to peek inside the petcocks again.
