new carbs

Hey guys, Just got some new PWK carbs mounted on my project bike. I dont have much experience dealing with carbs so I need some advice. I will be running side pipes with no baffles. What jetting would get me in the ballpark? I just put 132 mains in there. Does that sound about right?

Also, another dumb question...the carbs came with some short lengths of clear tubing. Where does this tubing go? What other tubes are needed other than the fuel lines?

Thanks a lot, Gray

Gary,
Besides the fuel lines, there should be a short length of tube between the two intake manifolds. Each manifold has a short pipe pointing inwards, and these should be joined by tube to "balance" the intakes.

Note that the fuel lines normally consist of three tubes. One from each tap to the banjo at the fuel inlet at the carbs, and one between the two banjo's.

The small diameter clear tubing that comes with those carbs are the float bowl vent and overflow tubes. If you run longer tubes down behind the engine so that any fuel dumping won't dirty your engine, you may never actually know if your carb is flooding until you see a huge puddle under the bike.

Balderdash! You'll know as soon as your rear tire slides out from under you in a corner.

Cheers!
