Side cover scripts, cant get em on...

well got the new (old 69) style side covers, put them on and they look great.
Now trying to lay the scripts (Bonneville) but the gold lettering keeps coming off with the clear tape. What to do to help seperate it? Would using a heat gun help it?

Perhaps these are waterslide decals? Try soaking them in water for about ten minutes and then slipping them into place on the cleaned cover. Then, blot with a paper towel, very delicately. Next day, use a little clear coat to seal them in place.

Question scripts

These are the type where you remove the back, stick them in place, then remove the clear tape with the gold script sticking to the surface.
Sometimes you can get a razor blade in between to get it started but it doesn't seem to be working this time. Its hot here, 95 degrees, not sure if that is making it more difficult.. you would think the heat would help.

Now i know why you said i should buy 2 sets Mecchanica, that i may mess one set up.. :-)

Yeah, I had problems with those stick-on type transfers, too. I would get the waterslide decals and, yes, two sets of THEM, too. The major problem with them is that bubbles get trapped, and you can do damage trying to get them out.

Angry scripts

I may just cut them out and leave the clear on them. screw it.
Or leave them off and have someone paint them on during Biketoberfest.
