Hey Guys,

I know you get this a lot, but I've not asked before. I am looking at a 68 Bonneville, VIN 75382 matching frame and motor. For the most part, all compete. Runs well, good compression. I've ridden the bike. Needs a few little things,
cables, rubber, etc. No title, but bill of sale.

The price, $1,800

Fair price? Go for it?

Paul

I troll on this forum now and then but don't own a classic. It is my understanding the 68 Bonnie is one of the most collectible in Triumph's lineup. As long as it won't be a money pit for you $1,800 sounds like a great price.

Let the experts chime in though, I only look in here now and then with lust in my eyes .

I'll give you $2,500 for it, sight unseen. I'll even pay the shipping.

Twelve years ago, I bought a nice stock 68 Bonneville for 2500 dollars and was thrilled to get it. The guy I bought if from paid 1800 dollars a year earlier and paid to ship it to Hawaii.
Depending on the condition, it's worth three times or more the asking price. Yeah, it's a deal. Probably.

Just for comparision,I paid about $4200 for my 70 Bonneville and spent about $200 transporting it.
Sounds like a great price to me!
