ELEVEN PM???????? Wow. We go dark at 7:30. At the latest, in July, at about 8:00.

Yeah, that's the thing living up north... In the summertime the sun barely goes below horizon (in northern Finland it doesn't) but in the winter it barely comes up

The folk at Burlen replied the same evening saying they've had some reports of sinking floats, but that of those floats sent to them most (or all) were copies. So remember to buy boxed, labeled goods.

What I'm (naturally) thinking is how would a new bought Amal carb contain a copy float  ?

Anyhow, the Triumph is kicking again, so the rest is for the academics Enjoy riding!

I think Burlen is BSing. I can't imagine that there would be a market for aftermarket floats, if they were the quality of the old Amal units. There would never be a need for one.

I just supplied a customer with a used float for his new Burlen carb. Same problem.

Yeah, I thought that smells like poor "we do only the finest products" -type of pr. Why not own up to possible glitches in production? I'd rather hear honest replys, even if it is "negative". Just my 5 cents.
