It seems I'm in the minority with these. I love to take lots of photos as I'm refurbishing, overhauling and restoring bikes, and post updates on a regular basis.

I'd sure like to see more of ya'll doing this, and I'm going to suggest to Shawn that he create a new section here just for project journals.

If you go ahead and start one, fill us in on what you are doing, any problems you run into and how you solved them; good (and bad) reseller tips as far as your parts sources & professional tradesmen (painter, upholstery, chrome, etc.).

I even keep a record of shop hours, broken down in 1/4 hour increments, so that I can better estimate future projects. Believe me, I don't claim to be in the upper echelon of rebuilders, but it's nice to have an answer when someone asks "how long does it take to change a set of clutch plates?"

Bottom line: I think it would be an enhancement to this forum if more of you would open up and join the discussion. Don't be shy if you are just a beginner, WE WERE ALL BEGINNERS at one point, and all of us make mistakes along the way. I assure you, you won't be criticized on this forum unless you convert an original '59 Bonneville to a beach bobber.

Great Idea Paul. I wish I'd taken more photos of my rebuild. I'll go through what I have and see if anything is worth posting.

I'm planning on getting step-by-step photos of my 3TA/5TA project starting this week with the forks, so I'll be sure to post them as I progress

I did just that while rebuilding my tiger - I should have rebuilt my camera first, got lots of pictures useful if a troglodyte ever needs a guide . . .

Hey Quagmire, the system won't let me reply privately to your message, so I hope you see it here,

No...I've never seen it. How long ago did it aire? Was it a series? I'm just happy to share my passion with others while at the same time keeping a up-to-date resume of my professional skills in TV production as I produce the show entirely alone.

BTW, I have family in Attleboro, pretty town!

Here's my web page diary that I've put together on getting a 1970 T100C back on the road. It's not a elaborate web pag but some of you might find it interesting.

I need to add some more photosClick here for link to website
