When I had the rear wheel off to check the speedo drive unit, I had to undo the inner nut that holds it onto the speedo adaptor with the two grooves into it.

When tightening up that nut, as well as the other inner nut on the other side that holds the brake anchor plate on, how tight do people tighten these?

Just an FYI Quag; You should hold the brakes on tight when you tighten the nut on the backing plate to centralize the brake shoes. It's more important on the front TLS setup than on the rear SLS one. I wouldn't take it apart again if it's all back together, but remember it for the next time.

Just the "village idiot" at it again: Jim
