Ok, I am officially "sick". I picked up a 68 BSA 441 Victor Special from an old bloke in Colorado Springs. The Thunderbolt now has "thunder" so I guess it was time for another project. THIS IS FUN!!!
My only problem is convincing my wife to share the same enthusiam!!!

Any Unit singles experts out there?

It may end up looking close to this or....maybe stock restoration.....I dunno....what do you guys think?

That's a good looking little thumper, but I'd rather go "dirt" with a 441...

I'd leave as is for a playtoy. For what it wolud cost to put bac to original you could buy a nice original. (Do I see an ARHMA sticker on the fork?) Could be made street legal with lights for not a whole lot of money.

Remember one thing. When you go to kick over your little 441 that is half of a 882. From personal experience the starter kickback of a 441 is a VERY religious experience.

I hope the previous owner showed you the routine

Yup,
Thanks Grandpaulz for clarifying. Sorry for the confusion but the picture I posted is what I am considering for the 441. It actually looks much WORSE...as it needs either cafe'ed or restored.
My pictures of it are in .bmp format and the uploader tells me it does not support .bmp extensions.
It is not purty though...
