My '68 T100R is coming along and I'm to the point of considering what colors it should be. Does anyone know of a web site or othre info which would give a reasonably accurate picture of the factory colors for '68? I emaild Don Hutcvhison about a quote for painting, but he cold offer no info on this. Many thanks.

What was the issue with Hutch??? He is not a big "computer person," you're better off calling him. His big thing is paint and original paint schemes. He usually helps you do the layout if you order the paint, and if you want accurate paint, I wouldn't go anywere else.

I can give you the name of a guy in PA who painted mine, but PM or email me so I can tell you the whole stroy about him. As they say, if you can't say something nice......

That Sullivan collection looks pretty good in the Triumph books I've seen. About 10 times as nice as my collection!

K, not sure. I've been in Hutch's shop and he has every original tank of every Triumph ever built hanging in his ceiling. It's really a neat site. I used his paint on my "spring Gold" TR6 and every one who sees it says it looks factory correct. Around here, he's the one to use.

K, my painter did a fantastic job. I just have a problem with his time lines and the way he dealt with my parts. I sent him my original tank and called and called and didn't hear anything for months. When I finally did talk to him he said the tank was bad, so I told him to send it back to me so I can have my uncle repair it. I got no reply,......for weeks. When I sent him an email asking for all my stuff back so I can get someone else to do the job, he called me and told me he was almost done but he cut up my tank for parts and ordered me another one at $300. I still never got my old tank parts. Suffice it to say, I ate the $300, told him to finish the job and I will never, EVER, use him again.

Is he technically a good painter, absolutely. Do I trust him, NOPE! So you live and learn. The next restoration will have a different painter.
