Howdy,
I'm still on the hunt for a pre-unit TR6 project bike, preferably a 1958 or 1959 model. I've got an original unrestored '68 TR6R that I may be willing to trade for a good pre-unit project. Its in original paint, just out of 5-6 year hibernation, and seems to be running well. Thanks.
Gary

Sacrilegious would be trading for anything other than a 1970 or earlier 650 Triumph twin!

Wow, you guys are starting to confuse me. Yeah, the '68 is a sweet bike and I'm certainly happy to have it in the garage. I probably wouldn't be willing to trade it for anything else...but those pre-unit Trophy's get me all weak in the knees and make me slobber on myself.

Hey Gary,

I've been looking around for a project bike myself...

I don't have a pre-unit 58 or 59 TR6 to trade you for your unrestored '68 TR6R but I do have cash.

Please pm me if you are interested.
Thanks,
John

KADUTZ: I wouldn't mind having a '79 T140D Bonnie Special (or any Triumph for that matter) at all, but I wouldn't trade a pre-oil in frame model for a post-oil in frame model in similar condition. Just my "pinion". kit:
