For the past several months I've been trying to track down an original tool kit for my 72 Triumph with no luck. I've kept my eyes open on ebay and tried to source individual tools from different vendors but I'm still coming up empty. Does anyone have any suggestions where to look?

i almost went down that road, but my mechanic advised me that the originals are worthless, made out of the same play-doh "metal" as the bike. he advised me to scavenge things from my toolbox and tie them together with a rubber band.

are the originals worth a darn, or is this for show?

I'm not looking for the Triumph tools to work with, everything in that regard is already taken care of. I'm looking for the set to compliment a restoration.

Hers a pic of a 1970 650 tool kit I picked up at a recent auto-jumble Mister.
From what I'm told it is pretty complete bar the tool bag.
It might give you an idea of what to look for?
Cheers

that tool kit may contain parts from a '70 but it isnt a 70 tool kit. I believe its from an earlier model.
